Spotlight - April 2024

Aprils 2024 spotlight is another listed building, this time a Grade II timber framed house with an assocaited thatched roof.

Again, prior to the inspection in-depth desktop research was undertaken to ensure a full understanding of the property in question and how best to approach the inspection. Specific research was completed to help determine the age of the thatch as well as the extensions and alterations provided.

Given the rural nature of the propety there were limited mains services provided. As such, careful consideration was given during the inspeciton in regards to the oil (heating) and septic (drainage) tanks.

A detailed report was produced for the client, which included recommendations for repair, further investigations and commentary on statutory consents.

Whether it's budgeting for necessary repairs, or proceeding with confidence, the RICS Home Survey Level 3 is a valuable asset in the home buying process.
